What you bring
- A bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field such as mathematics, statistics, engineering, or another listed discipline
- At least seven years of professional experience, ideally including AI and generative AI work
- Practical ability with an advanced analytics platform such as Python, TensorFlow, or another listed tool
- Experience spanning analytics project stages, machine-learning methods, deep-learning architectures, and applications built with large language models
- Strong SQL or other programming skills, paired with clear communication and the ability to work across business teams

About the Role
A key member of our Analytics and AI team who will strongly influence business decisions by helping to develop and institutionalise a data-driven approach across the organisation. The incumbent will work closely with business units across Asia and other functions in the Group office, including Marketing, Distribution, Strategy, Finance, Digital and Operations. His/her primary role will be the development of AI, Gen AI and ML solutions across multiple business applications.Roles and Responsibilities:
- Act as an AI project leader by overseeing the development of major AI and Gen AI initiatives, managing stakeholders and ensuring project deadlines are met
- Develop AI and machine learning solutions to optimise business performance across different areas of the organisation;
- Overseeing multiple resources from AI Shanghai Company, ensuring effective resource management and maintaining a high standard of technical quality in all deliverables
- Identify actionable insights, suggest recommendations, and influence the direction of the business of cross-functional groups;
- Engage proactively with a diverse range of business stakeholders to ensure alignment with organizational objectives and adherence to business requirements
- Present GIO solutions to senior stakeholders, including C-level executives, and to take part in various committees and workshops
- Develop AI and Gen AI solutions for several business functions (i.e. distribution, operations, marketing, and risk) to increase business efficiency and improve customer experience;
- Manage in-country strategic initiatives related to model development and work closely with Business Units to guarantee the correct and timely implementation;
Minimum Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a numerate discipline, e.g. Actuarial science, Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, or Computer Science;
- At least 7 years of working experience, ideally with experience in AI and Gen AI;
- Proven hands-on experience in the use of at least one advanced data analysis platform (e.g. Python, TensorFlow/Pytorch);
- Exposure to all stages of data analytics project lifecycle (scope definition, data requirements, extraction, exploration, transformation, solution development, tracking, and implementation);
- Demonstrable understanding of data quality risks and ability to carry out necessary exploratory data analysis and quality checks to validate results obtained;
- Experience with a variety of machine learning techniques (clustering, decision tree, random forest, etc.);
- Knowledge of deep learning solutions and architectures – Convolutional Neural Network, Recurrent Neural Network and Transformers;
- Experience on building business application using Large Language Models
- Excellent relationship management, strong team building, and the ability to work across business units and functions to drive positive business outcomes;
- Sound knowledge of programming in SQL or other programming experience;
- Articulate, with excellent oral and written communication skills. Adaptable, able to interact and build strong relationships with people from a diverse range of backgrounds;
- Fast learner with a willing attitude. Intellectually rigorous, with strong analytical skills and a passion for data and analytics;
