- You are registered in a co-op program and have an official work term covering the entire employment period
- You can program well, preferably in Python, and bring software fundamentals such as debugging, testing, Git and existing-codebase work
- You are familiar with Linux development and have a basic grasp of machine learning and current AI systems

About the job:
Develop and maintain software tools and infrastructure for machine learning and AI workflows.
Build backend services, APIs, automation tools, and system integrations.Support large-scale experiment execution, evaluation, and data processing workflows.
Debug technical issues and improve system reliability, performance, and usability.
Work with researchers and engineers to understand requirements and translate them into practical software solutions.
Communicate with internal users, collect feedback, and occasionally provide technical support for developed tools.
Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code.
The total target annual compensation for this position ranges from $58,000 to $104,000 depending on education, experience, and demonstrated expertise.
About the ideal candidate:
Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Machine Learning, or a related field.
Strong programming skills, preferably in Python.
Solid software engineering fundamentals, including debugging, testing, Git, and working with existing codebases.Familiarity with Linux development environments.
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to learn unfamiliar technologies independently.Good communication skills and ability to clarify and understand technical requirements.
Basic understanding of machine learning and modern AI systems.
Experience with backend development, REST APIs, or databases.
Experience with Docker, distributed systems, cloud or compute infrastructure
Familiarity with LLMs, AI agents, or ML evaluation workflows. Experience with frontend development such as React or TypeScript. Open-source contributions, internships, or substantial personal software projects.
