From the employer

About the Role

We’re hiring a Chief of Staff to the President of AI Infrastructure to serve as a strategic and execution-focused partner who helps drive the company’s most critical infrastructure priorities.

In this role, you will work directly with the President and operate across Data Center Development, Construction, Data Center Operations, Power and Energy, Supply Chain, Hardware and Systems Engineering, and Capacity Planning. You’ll help run the business by bringing structure to planning, capacity forecasting, operating cadences, and cross-functional execution, while also acting as a trusted advisor on strategic decisions.

This role is a force multiplier for the AI infrastructure organization. Your work will improve focus, alignment, and operational excellence across teams, helping the business bring capacity online faster, improve delivery predictability, and build the scalable processes needed for the next phase of global expansion.

What you'll be doing

Strategic Planning & Business Management

  • Partner with the President to define and execute annual and quarterly AI infrastructure strategies.
  • Drive capacity planning, site pipeline strategy, build-out roadmaps, and organizational scaling initiatives aligned with customer demand.
  • Develop executive-level presentations, board materials, business reviews, and strategic recommendations covering capacity, capital deployment, and delivery performance.
  • Monitor key business metrics to identify opportunities to improve delivery speed, utilization, cost efficiency, and operational reliability.
  • Advise the President on high-priority strategic decisions, including site selection, power procurement, hardware roadmap, and major vendor partnerships, as a trusted thought partner.

Infrastructure Operations & Performance Management

  • Establish operating rhythms across the AI infrastructure organization, including quarterly business reviews, capacity and deployment reviews, project gate reviews, and leadership meetings.
  • Track performance against capacity delivered, deployment schedules, capex budgets, uptime, utilization, and safety goals.
  • Collaborate closely with Finance, Business Operations, and Capacity Planning to improve forecasting accuracy, reporting, and KPI visibility across sites and programs.
  • Drive accountability across functional and site leaders through structured follow-up and execution management.

Cross-Functional Leadership

  • Lead high-impact initiatives spanning Data Center Development, Construction, Operations, Supply Chain, Engineering, Finance, and Sales.
  • Coordinate strategic projects such as new site launches, power and energy agreements, GPU and hardware supply programs, and infrastructure transformation efforts.
  • Remove organizational obstacles that slow execution or create misalignment between infrastructure teams and the wider business.
  • Accelerate decision-making by aligning stakeholders around priorities, ownership, risk, and next steps.

Executive Communications & Special Projects

  • Prepare internal and external communications on behalf of the President.
  • Develop leadership updates, board reports, investor materials, and company-wide presentations on infrastructure strategy and progress.
  • Ensure strategic priorities are clearly communicated throughout the AI infrastructure organization.
  • Lead mission-critical initiatives identified by the President and executive team.
  • Conduct market analysis, competitive intelligence, and business case development for new sites, partnerships, technologies, and operational improvements.

About You

  • 10+ years of experience in strategy, business operations, management consulting, investment banking, private equity, infrastructure development, or high-growth cloud and infrastructure companies
  • Experience supporting executive leadership in a senior Chief of Staff, Business Operations, Strategy, or similar role
  • Strong understanding of how large-scale compute infrastructure is planned, financed, built, and operated, from site and power through to deployed capacity
  • Advanced analytical and financial modeling skills, including capex planning and project economics
  • Exceptional written, verbal, and executive communication abilities at the senior leadership level
  • Proven ability to manage multiple high-priority initiatives simultaneously across geographically distributed teams
  • Demonstrated success influencing senior stakeholders and driving outcomes without direct authority
  • Experience in AI infrastructure, hyperscale cloud, data center development, energy, or telecommunications preferred
  • Familiarity with capacity planning, power procurement, GPU and hardware supply chains, construction programs, and data center metrics such as PUE, uptime, and utilization preferred
  • Senior executive presence, strong business maturity, and a bias for action in fast-paced, ambiguous environments
