What you'll do
- Set the AI platform’s architecture and shared design rules so teams can build reusable, secure capabilities

What you bring
- At least eight years in software engineering, with impact reaching beyond one team
- Two or more years building and running AI systems in production
- A background designing large-scale cloud platforms that are distributed, SaaS-based, and multi-tenant
- Hands-on AWS production experience, plus infrastructure-as-code work with CDK, CloudFormation, Terraform or another listed tool
- You can shape architecture across teams, mentor engineers, and communicate effectively in English

What you'll be doing:
- • Define and evolve the technical architecture for Caseware’s AI platform,
establishing architectural standards, contracts, and design principles that enable
scalable, secure, reusable, and trustworthy AI capabilities across multiple teams.
• Design, build, and operate AI systems powered by LLMs, retrieval pipelines, agentic
workflows, and AI-enabled services, including multi-agent systems, agent
execution runtimes, workflow orchestration, memory management, and human-inthe-loop AI capabilities.
• Design and implement evaluation, governance, auditability, and traceability
frameworks that ensure AI systems are measurable, explainable, compliant, and
continuously improving.
• Translate advances in AI into practical, maintainable platform capabilities that
solve real customer problems.
• Influence technical direction through architecture reviews, RFCs, design
discussions, and hands-on collaboration.
• Evaluate emerging AI technologies, models, frameworks, and cloud capabilities.
• Lead proof-of-concepts that inform platform strategy and future investments.
• Balance delivery speed, quality, maintainability, and long-term platform health
when making technical decisions.
• Drive reliability, observability, monitoring, alerting, and incident response practices
across AI systems and platforms.
• Ensure systems are resilient, scalable, cost-effective, and operationally efficient in
production environments.
• Partner closely with Product, QA, Security, Domain SMEs, and Engineering teams to
deliver business value.
• Act as a trusted technical leader, helping teams succeed through collaboration,
influence, and shared ownership.
• Mentor engineers across teams and contribute to raising overall engineering
maturity.
What you'll bring:
- • 8+ years of professional software engineering experience, with demonstrated
impact beyond a single team
• 2+ years building and operating production AI systems.
• Proven experience designing distributed, SaaS, cloud-native, multi-tenant
platforms at scale.
• Proven experience designing distributed, SaaS, cloud-native, multi-tenant
platforms at scale.
• Experience implementing AI guardrails, governance controls, and safety
mechanisms.
• Strong understanding of AI system tradeoffs including latency, cost, accuracy,
reliability, and scalability.
• Extensive experience building and operating production systems on AWS.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code using CDK, CloudFormation, or Terraform.
• Experience mentoring engineers and influencing architectural decisions across
teams.
• Strong English language communication and collaboration skills.
• Comfortable operating in fast-moving environments with ambiguity and evolving
requirements.
Nice to Have
- • Experience operating systems in regulated or compliance-heavy domains.
• Familiarity with accounting, auditing, or financial workflows.
