We are seeking a highly motivated and technically capable Research Engineer to support research work under the project “Sustainable Living”.
Key Responsibilities:
Collaborate closely with the Principal Investigator (PI) and research team to design, develop, and evaluate AI-driven solutions for sustainable living and green recommendation systems.
Collect, organize, clean, and preprocess multimodal datasets, including textual, behavioral, contextual, and sustainability-related data, for AI modeling and analysis.
Develop efficient data processing and experimentation workflows to support user modeling, preference understanding, behavior analysis, and personalized sustainability recommendations.
Conduct experiments, evaluate model performance, analyze results, and iteratively improve AI models and systems.
Collaborate with researchers from different disciplines and contribute to research publications, technical reports, project deliverables, and demonstrations.
Job Requirements:
Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, or a related discipline. Candidates who are currently pursuing a Ph.D. are also welcome.
Strong programming and software development skills, with the ability to implement and evaluate AI-based systems.
Knowledge or practical experience in one or more of the following areas such as Natural Language Processing (NLP), Large Language Models (LLMs), Multimodal Artificial Intelligence, Recommendation Systems, Intelligent/Agentic AI, etc.
Research or project experience in data-driven AI, intelligent systems, recommendation systems, or related applications is preferred.
Experience working with multimodal or domain-specific datasets is an advantage.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to addressing technical challenges.
Good communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary research environment.
Experience with academic research, publications, or participation in research projects is an advantage.
